About the Job:

You will be assisting the Civil department with administrative tasks. This role will require an organised and logical individual who can aid our fast moving and robust team.

 

Skills Required:

The ideal candidate will demonstrate the following:

• Organisational Skills: Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritise workloads, and maintain efficient filing systems

• Communication Skills: Professional verbal and written communication, with strong interpersonal skills

• Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy in document preparation, billing, and record management

• Technical Proficiency: Competent in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and case management systems

• Teamwork and Flexibility: Willingness to assist across departments and cover varied tasks as needed

• Client-Focused Approach: Friendly, professional manner with a commitment to excellent client care

• Initiative and Problem-Solving: Proactive in improving systems and supporting operational efficiency

 

Key Responsibilities:

In this role, you will be integral to the smooth running of the department. Your duties will include:

• Diary and File Management: Managing fee earners’ diaries, setting up and maintaining client files, and updating billing spreadsheets.

• Client Support: Delivering excellent client care, including handling correspondence, answering calls, taking messages, and meeting and greeting clients.

• Document Handling: Typing, preparing, collating, and filing legal and administrative documents/Court bundles to strict deadlines

• Administrative Support: Assisting in the general administration of the department and supporting other departments as needed.

• Billing and Finance: Assisting with billing processes and ensuring accurate record-keeping.

• Process Improvement: Helping implement new procedures and administrative systems.

• Reception Duties: Acting as a receptionist when needed and covering for other secretarial or reception staff.
