Best Solicitors have been established since 2001 and in 2017 Alison Gregory took over as Head of Private Client.

The department has flourished, and in 2022, the department was rewarded for all its hard work by winning Sheffield & District Law Society Yorkshire Legal Award for Private Client Team of the Year 2022.

Alison Gregory and her colleague, Emma Thistlewhite, are renowned for exceptional client care, compassion and expertise; and for going above and beyond for their clients.

Their achievements can be measured on both a cultural and financial basis and we accept fees fund our operations, socially conscious activities feeds our soul. Throughout the Pandemic, the ‘Will Month’ programmes that were run were more important than ever, so in partnership with St Luke’s Hospice and Barnsley Hospice, throughout April 2020 and 2021 all will-writing revenues generated by Emma and Alison were donated back to the hospices. Such is the success of these longstanding partnerships, that Emma and Alison then launched an identical initiative with Cavendish Cancer Care, ever mindful of the financial struggles all charities have been encountering and the need to extend yet more support where it has been possible. This also ensuring our firm continues to show it can, and will, honour its social and corporate responsibilities.

Following the success and growth of the department we are pleased to announce that we will be expanding our Private Client department. Our award-winning department provides an excellent level of service in this area and this inward investment will allow us to further extend our service offering into the South Yorkshire area
