Best Solicitors Boosts Trusts and Estates Team With New Appointments

Sheffield headquartered Best Solicitors has strengthened its trusts and estates department with the appointment of two legal advisors.

Ellie Whitehead and Alicia Mate join the 21-year-old practice from Co-op Legal. The team offers advice on wills, Lasting Powers of Attorney (LPA), Court of Protection (COP) matters, and tax and estates planning.

Joining the firm from Graysons in September, Anne Rogers, director of private client, wills and probate at Best Solicitors, said: “We are delighted to welcome both Ellie and Alicia to the team to further strengthen our service and offer to clients. Working with families to ensure that they protect their assets and loved ones is close to our heart.

“We pride ourselves on providing empathetic advice and support to help clients plan, and protect their, and their family’s future.

“Ellie and Alicia are a great addition to the firm. The team has recently received dementia training to help us further improve our skills, and understanding, when supporting the most vulnerable of clients.

“Considering what, and who, to include in a will, having an LPA in place, and managing probate or Court of Protection matters, can involve emotive and sensitive considerations and conversations. Our clients are supported every step of the way of their journey.”

The department also appointed Emily Ward as legal assistant in trusts and probate in October and is also supported by trainee solicitor Ishbel Saward.

Best Solicitors has offices in Sheffield, Barnsley, Stocksbridge and Filey. The firm offers both business and individual clients with a range of legal solutions. This includes supporting in child care and international child abduction cases; family; conveyancing, personal injury (PI); commercial property and employment.

The firm recently changed its business structure from partnership to a limited company as it continues its strategic path to further growth.

Doubling its turnover in the past four years, Best Solicitors has strengthened its management and processes, and invested in IT and marketing, in the past 12 months.
